Food Security

Who can use the VFB

At Vansuya Food Bank, we are dedicated to assisting individuals, couples, and families of African, Black, and Caribbean descent in British Columbia who are facing food insecurity. Food insecurity encompasses situations where people cannot afford the quality or quantity of food necessary to avoid hunger. This may involve relying on low-cost, low-nutrition foods or being unable to buy groceries due to financial constraints.

We understand that food often becomes a lower priority when critical expenses such as housing, utilities, and clothing need to be covered. Our mission is to ensure that no one has to compromise on their nutrition. Vansuya Food Bank is here to provide the support needed to make sure everyone has access to the food they require
